This week, we had the honor of welcoming Sonia Bichet MOF and Nicolas Ranninger, Bord Bia’s Market Director for France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, to Atlanfish.
Sonia Bichet, an esteemed French seafood chef, was awarded the prestigious title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) in 2023 in the Fishmonger category—a testament to her exceptional craftsmanship. She also holds the title of the World’s Best Oyster Shucker. A global culinary sensation and social media star, Sonia has been traveling the world in pursuit of extraordinary seafood experiences, and we were thrilled to have her visit us here at Malin Head.
During her visit, Sonia and Nicolas joined the Atlanfish team for an unforgettable day exploring the wild North Atlantic coast. Aboard the Rosaleen—one of our trusted suppliers of premium-quality brown crab—they experienced firsthand the skill, dedication, and sustainable practices of our local fishermen, resulting in a catch of outstanding quality.
Following their time at sea, Sonia and Nicolas were given an in-depth tour of the Atlanfish factory, where they saw how our team transforms this premium raw material into the high-quality products that we proudly deliver to our customers across the globe.
